Job summary

Careplus Psychiatric Services is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for a remote, 2-year contract. You will conduct mental health evaluations, create personalized care plans, and manage psychiatric medications.

Telehealth will be a key delivery method, with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and diligent patient documentation. Ideal candidates have PMHNP certification and 1–2 years of relevant experience, licensed with DEA in multiple states.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Mental Health Nursing and Psychiatric Care.
• Advanced practice as licensed Nurse Practitioner with mental health experience.
• Licensed with DEA in WA, NM, NY, NJ, TX, and DE.
• 1–2 years' experience in psychiatry or mental health care.
• PMHNP certification (DEA) or willing to obtain.
• Knowledge of telehealth platforms is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in patient-centered care.

Role Description

This is a contract, remote role for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. The practitioner will conduct mental health evaluations, develop and implement personalized care plans, and provide psychiatric and medication management. Responsibilities include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining accurate patient records, and supporting individuals in their mental health journey. Telehealth services may play a key role in delivering patient care.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Mental Health Nursing and Psychiatric Care
• Advanced practice skills as a licensed Nurse Practitioner and experience in Mental Health Care
• Licensed with DEA in WA, NM, NY, NJ, TX, and DE, required
• One to two years' experience required.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in psychiatric care and treatment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in collaborative healthcare environments
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a concentration in mental health or psychiatry
• Active NP license and certification in psychiatric nursing (PMHNP) with DEA or willingness to obtain one
• Knowledge of and experience with telehealth platforms is a plus
• Ability to work independently while delivering empathetic, patient-centered care
