Qualifications

• Must hold a psychiatric APRN credential and be eligible for AZ license.
• National certification (ANCC or AANP) is required.
• Active AZ APRN license and DEA registration are required.
• EHR experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification for healthcare providers is required.
• A Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.

Responsibilities

What Your Day May Look Like

Every day will be a little different, but you can expect to:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
• Diagnose and treat mental health and emotional disorders
• Create individualized treatment plans based on each patient's needs
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, and patient response
• Adjust treatment plans when clinically appropriate
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, treatment options, and coping strategies
• Recognize and respond to patients experiencing psychiatric distress or crisis
• Connect patients with additional levels of care and community resources when needed
• Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, care managers, medical assistants, specialists, families, guardians, and other members of the care team
• Support individuals with behavioral health, substance use, developmental, and other complex needs
• Keep documentation accurate, timely, and completed within the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality improvement and stay current on evidence-based practices

What You'll Need to Join Us

We want to make the requirements easy. Here's what we're looking for:

• Graduate of an accredited advanced nursing practice program with a psychiatric specialty designation
• Current national certification through an accredited certifying organization, such as ANCC or AANP
• Current, active Advanced Practice Nursing license in the State of Arizona
• Current DEA registration
• Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Current American Heart Association-approved CPR and First Aid certification for healthcare providers
