An established industry player is seeking a dedicated geri-psych Nurse Practitioner to enhance mental health care in nursing facilities. This role offers the flexibility to work independently while making a significant impact on the lives of residents facing mental health challenges. With a focus on optimizing treatment and improving quality of life, you'll collaborate with nursing home staff and have the autonomy to manage your schedule. The position requires just one day per week, providing an excellent compensation rate for your expertise. If you're passionate about making a difference in rural communities and have the necessary qualifications, this opportunity is perfect for you.
UltaCare Medical has an immediate opening for a geri-psych Nurse Practitioner. Under the supervision of a supervising psychiatrist, the Psych NP will provide assessment, diagnosis, and management of mental health and psychiatric conditions. This role is focused on optimizing treatment to yield better response, reduced side effects, and improved quality of life.
Anxiety, depression, dementia, grief and loss, and a variety of other mental health conditions are prominent challenges in nursing home populations, and these residents deserve a mental health specialist that can help them deal with these challenges. As a Psych NP with UltaCare Medical, you’ll have the opportunity to use your skills and expertise to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these residents by optimizing their treatments. Our Psych NPs often voice great professional satisfaction and can recite countless experiences where they dramatically helped others by both better treating the underlying condition and improving quality of life.
Schedules are flexible, and the Psych NP will work independently and remotely inside of post-acute and long-term care nursing facilities. This means that you can generally choose when you come to work and when you leave, provided that you work the number of hours that have been agreed upon. Additionally, there is nobody “looking over your shoulder.” We require collaboration with nursing home staff, but ultimately you make your own schedule and have the autonomy to do what you are educated and trained to do.
Many of our positions serve rural communities. These communities rely upon people helping others and tend to be tight-knit. We play a vital role in these communities by improving healthcare for those that may otherwise have difficulty accessing it. Our group was founded in 2006 and has always followed a guiding mission of keeping a small company feel while helping as many people as possible.
