Position: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Compensation: $112,331.32 - $124,812.48 per year

Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment, follow‑up care, and medication management within professional and regulatory standards.
- Monitor effectiveness and side effects of psychotropic medications and provide ongoing patient education and informed consent.
- Collaborate with mental health, medical, and administrative teams to ensure coordinated and consistent psychiatric services.
- Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and participate in required meetings, consultations, and on‑call coverage.
- Support crisis intervention, referrals, transfers, and emergency or involuntary treatment processes as allowed by scope of practice and guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Master in Science of Nursing or Post‑Master’s Certificate from an accredited nurse practitioner program with a specialty in psychiatric mental health across the lifespan.
Experience
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a PMHNP required, or may be waived if approved by Vice President of Advanced Practice Program.
- Corrections experience in a PMHNP role preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
- Unrestricted current license to practice as a PMHNP in the state of practice.
- Current board certification as a PMHNP.
- Current DEA Registration (unless Chief Psychiatric Officer determines it as optional).
- Current BLS certification.
