Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Part-Time, Permanent (30 hrs/week, Flexible Weekdays)

HealthCare Recruiters International (HCRI) is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join an innovative early psychosis program focused on adolescents and young adults ages 12–25. Join a multidisciplinary team committed to early intervention, recovery-focused care, and clinical excellence.

PMHNP Responsibilities:

• PMHNP works 30 hours per week across 4–5 weekdays within hours of 9AM - 6PM
• PMHNP provides care for clients at Clinical High Risk for Psychosis (CHRp) or with First Episode Psychosis (FEP)
• PMHNP performs psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and crisis intervention
• PMHNP administers injectable psychotropic medications
• PMHNP maintains a caseload of 40+ clients with frequent follow-up appointments
• PMHNP collaborates with the care team and attends weekly clinical meetings
• PMHNP consults with staff and supports psychoeducation efforts
• PMHNP documents in accordance with MediCal/MediCare standards
• PMHNP is given 60 minutes+ for new patients and 30 minutes + for follow-ups

PMHNP Requirements:

• CA Licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Current Nurse Practitioner furnishing number
• 4+ years PMHNP experience; early psychosis experience preferred
• BLS certification
• Spanish fluency preferred
• Strong documentation and interdisciplinary communication skills
