Job summary

The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health seeks a Psychiatric RN to provide safe, therapeutic care on a Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare Campus unit. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to implement treatment plans and monitor patient responses, while leading nursing staff as charge nurse and supporting recovery-oriented care.

Position is full-time, second shift, 2:30PM–11:00PM with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN license required by the Board of Nursing.
• Experience in behavioral health settings preferred.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a therapeutic milieu focused on quality patient care.
• Serve as interdisciplinary team member to develop and execute treatment plans.
• Observe, evaluate, and document patient behavior and response to treatment.
• Act as charge nurse and supervise nursing staff on the unit.
• Contribute to records, plans and reports.
• Facilitate patient group activities.
