Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program or higher.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas.
• Immunization and safety policies comply with HHSC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive assessments of patients' needs in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
• Administers medications and maintains MAR records per facility policy.
• Develops and updates individualized recovery plans with the care team.
• Provides patient and family education and counseling as part of care.
• Trains staff on psychiatric nursing principles and milieu management.
