Responsibilities

• Evaluates and monitors the psychiatric condition of patients with physicians and care providers, applying standards of care and protocols.
• Assesses health status by reviewing records, taking histories, and performing examinations.
• Analyzes patient care and helps develop treatment plans and responses.
• Maintains complete charts and records with thorough documentation.
• Orders medications within statutory limits and coordinates screenings and assessments when appropriate.
• Collaborates with staff, physicians, and management to improve care and uphold ethical standards.
• Advocates for patients and participates in insurance peer reviews to optimize care length.
