Job summary

Sagent Behavioral Health is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for an in-person position at our Cedar Rapids, IA clinic. You will diagnose, treat, and prevent mental illnesses, evaluate patients, create personalized treatment plans, and prescribe medications as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Psychiatric Nursing and Iowa license.
• PMHNP certification recognized by the board of nursing.
• Minimum 1 year APRN experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders.
• Conduct comprehensive history and physical assessments and follow-up appointments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes.
• Prescribe and monitor medications and manage side effects.
• Educate patients on medication management and crisis response.
• Participate in case reviews and clinical supervision.
• Maintain a patient-centered, empathetic therapeutic environment.
