Sagent Behavioral Health in Savage, MN is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to diagnose, treat, and prevent mental illnesses in adults. You’ll evaluate mental and physical health, create personalized treatment plans, and prescribe medications as needed. This role emphasizes supportive, evidence-based care in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Psychiatric Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Active and unrestricted MN State License to practice medicine.
• Mental Health Professional Qualifications per MN State Statute 245I.04.02.
• PMHNP certification recognized by the board of nursing.
• Minimum 1-2+ years' APRN experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders.
• Conduct complete history and physical assessments and follow-up appointments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes.
• Prescribe and manage medications, monitor effectiveness and side effects.
• Educate patients on medication management and potential long-term impacts.
• Provide immediate support for acute psychiatric crises, including SI or severe distress.
• Participate in case reviews, MDT meetings, and clinical supervision.
• Foster a patient-centered, empathetic therapeutic environment.
