Job summary

La Casa de Salud in the South Bronx seeks a Nurse Practitioner to collaborate with physicians and deliver advanced primary and specialty nursing care across multiple sites.

You will perform exams, develop care plans, prescribe medications, monitor treatment, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining EMR documentation. Bilingual Spanish preferred; strong teamwork and health equity commitment are valued.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted New York State NP license.
• Active NYS RN license.
• NPI and DEA registration.
• DATA 2000 Waiver.
• Board certification by ANCC or AANP.
• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited NP program.
• Three years of practical experience preferred.
• Bilingual – Spanish strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Prescribe medications, teach clients about side effects and monitor response to prescribed medications.
• Complete documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and care team.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments.
• Participate in quality assurance activities.
