Job summary

Housing Works is seeking a Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric to provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for an established patient panel. The role includes coverage during provider absences and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team in a busy ambulatory setting.

The ideal candidate holds NYS licensure as a Psychiatric NP, a BSN, and ANCC board certification, with experience in coordination of care and clinical supervision.

Qualifications

• New York State Licensed Psychiatric NP with a master’s nursing degree.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• ANCC Board Certification Adult Psychiatric NP.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine psychiatric evaluations and medication management for Housing Works clients.
• Provide psychiatric medication management coverage if needed.
• Provide psychiatric assessments for clients in need of housing.
• Maintain a patient panel for follow-up psychiatric care.
• Participate in clinical supervision with the Chief of Psychiatry or designee.
• Participate in case conferences, operational and Quality meetings, and provide clinical consultation to clinic staff.
• Coordinate care with colleagues and outside providers as per standard practice.
• Follow State, Federal and Regulatory laws and APA Code of Conduct.
• Receive supervision from the Chief Psychiatric Officer on clinical and administrative issues.
