Psychiatrist

A psychiatrist is needed in Valparaiso, IN.

Titan Placement Group invites you to explore an opportunity in the beautiful area of Northern Indiana. They have been open for over 20 years and focus on Indiana's underinsured, uninsured, and low-income patients.

This position is with a progressive, financially stable health center.

Salary and Benefits

  • The pay range for this position is $250,000 - $330,000
  • Health insurance paid by employers (around $80 per pay period)
  • Dental and vision insurance offered
  • Retirement package: 401(k) with 3% match
  • Student loan repayment eligible from $50,000 to $100,000
  • Paid time off: 15 vacation days
  • CME time off and $3,500 annually
  • 10 paid holidays
  • Relocation assistance available

Responsibilities

  • Work Monday to Friday for work/life balance
  • Hybrid outpatient role
  • No on-call, weekends, or nights
  • Full support staff and autonomy
  • Conduct interviews, physical exams, observe behaviors, review medical history, select and interpret psychological tests, order labs
  • Develop treatment plans for cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral disorders
  • Treat patients using psychotherapy and medications, monitor progress, supervise providers
  • Collaborate with primary care and other health professionals
  • Ensure quality and safety, participate in reviews, be available for emergencies
  • Provide staff training on psychosocial and physiological issues
  • Maintain records, document symptoms, medications, and treatment events
  • Participate in continuing education and professional organizations
  • Contribute to department and organization reputation
  • Provide telehealth services, work with Behavioral Health Consultants
  • Participate in peer review as required
  • Complete target encounter numbers as per agreement

Requirements

  • Community psychiatry background preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school
  • Completed residency
  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • DEA and CPR certifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven computer and database skills
  • Cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to operate multi-line phones and office equipment
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, EHR, online sources)
  • Supervision of BHCs
  • All required Relias training
