Medstaff is seeking a qualified psychiatrist for a rewarding opportunity. The ideal candidate is either board certified or a recent graduate preparing to sit for boards.

Requirements:

• Unrestricted Washington license
• BLS certification
• At least one year of psychiatry experience

Experience in detention, correctional, or residential settings is preferred but not mandatory. Flexibility with scheduling is valued, as coverage is needed from Sunday to Saturday, including days, nights, weekends, with shared call. Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluation and diagnosis of psychiatric and mental health conditions
• Providing treatment and management of mental health needs
• Engaging in family, urgent, and emergency mental health care
• Participating in public health initiatives, case management, and interdisciplinary collaboration
