Position Summary

The Site Psychiatrist provides diagnostic evaluation and treatment to patients, along with psychiatric consultation, diagnosis, and treatment. They oversee clinical direction, supervise staff, and handle managerial responsibilities, including approving and monitoring treatment plans. They also develop discharge plans for follow-up and support after discharge.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of medical school with completed psychiatric residency
• Licensed to practice in Mississippi and certified by the Office of Behavioral Health
• Current DEA number

Essential Functions

• Provide onsite psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment
• Document history, diagnosis, and treatment courses
• Offer psychiatric services for inpatients and outpatients as needed
• Manage medication and provide therapy sessions
• Approve and monitor treatment plans, admissions, and discharges
• Provide staff education and participate in training and meetings
