Join our team at the Department of Veterans VA Medical Center, Palo Alto, CA, as a Physician - Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs!

The Physician for Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs (MHRRTPs) reports directly to the Director of MHRRTPs or their designee, who reports to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Mental Health and Homeless Programs. The role involves providing medical services to eligible Veterans within the VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS). Responsibilities include assessment and care of patients with various medical conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, ischemic heart disease), ordering diagnostics, consultations, medications, and therapies, addressing preventive health needs, and completing all VA electronic documentation and communication with multidisciplinary teams in a timely manner.
