Job description

Locum Psychiatry need in Johnstown, PA. ASAP and on-going need. Must have current PA license.

Hospital Details:

• Inpatient unit - 29 beds, current census capped at 21.
• Call schedule: 1-2 days per week, occasionally 3 days.
• Possible weekend call required.
• On-call hours: weekdays by phone from 5 pm to 8 am; weekends involve rounding on psychiatric units and seeing new consultations in the ED and med/surg on Saturday and Sunday.

Additional Details:

• Average patient encounters while on call: varies.
• Average calls received: about 2-4 admissions, plus calls for behavioral issues, PRN medications, and non-routine incidents.
• Response time: 25 minutes.
• Midlevels assist with new evaluations and summaries.
• EMR system: Epic.
• Daily average of 3-5 consults and 5-6 follow-ups.
• Departments/Units: Adult, DEM, Consults.
