The Mental Health & Behavioral Science Service Line at Salisbury VA Health Care System is seeking experienced Psychiatrists to serve a diverse veteran population. The role involves addressing mental health issues such as Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, Severe Mental Illness, Substance Use Disorders, and medical co-morbidities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide psychiatric care across various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, residential programs for substance abuse and PTSD, emergency departments, medical-surgical wards, and geriatrics.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychologists, social workers, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other mental health professionals.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members through effective communication.
• Apply understanding of healthcare systems to improve patient outcomes.
