Job summary

Rite Path Behavioral Health in Arizona is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join as a 1099 independent contractor serving Queen Creek and Tempe. The position starts part-time with the potential to expand into a full-time caseload.

The PMHNP will perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, provide ongoing medication management, prescribe within scope, and coordinate care with therapists and PCPs.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Arizona APRN license.
• PMHNP certification.
• Current prescribing authority.
• Ability to obtain credentialing with contracted insurance plans.
• Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
• Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience working with children and adolescents is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
• Provide ongoing psychiatric medication management and follow-up care.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications within scope of practice.
• Develop individualized treatment recommendations based on clinical presentation and diagnosis.
• Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, adherence, and overall clinical progress.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Coordinate care with therapists, behavioral health staff, primary care providers, and other team members when appropriate.
• Provide education to clients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment options, and symptom management.
• Maintain appropriate follow-up schedules and continuity of psychiatric care.
• Follow applicable Arizona regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.

What We're Looking For
