Job summary

ACCESS Family Care in Joplin, MO is seeking a compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our integrated behavioral health team. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with mental health conditions, and provide medication management in collaboration with a multidisciplinary staff.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Missouri APRN licensure (or eligibility for Missouri licensure).
• Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
• DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in clinic setting

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic mental health conditions.
• Prescribe, adjust, and monitor psychiatric medications.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis and treatment options.
• Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, case managers, and support staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient outcome initiatives.
• Provide crisis intervention and appropriate referrals when needed.
