SolutionHealth is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and treat mental health disorders, and prescribe and manage medications. The role collaborates with psychiatrists and the care team and documents care in EPIC.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' emergency department experience preferred.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and healthcare teams.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications when indicated.

Job Description

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including mental status exams and diagnostic interviews.
• Diagnose and treat mental health disorders using evidence-based practices.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
• 2+ years' experience in an emergency department setting preferred
• May provide support services to the PHP and IOP programs
• May provide services on the Behavioral Health Unit
• EMR: EPIC
• Educate patients about their mental health conditions and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the psychiatrist and other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care.
• Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
• Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 30 clinical hours
• Work Shift: Friday, Saturday and Sunday
