Job summary

Mahajan Therapeutics, a division of BayMark Health Services, is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for our Dayton, Ohio clinic. This full-time role offers clinical autonomy in comprehensive psychiatric care and coordination of recovery pathways.

You will work with an experienced multidisciplinary team, conduct evaluations, design treatment plans, monitor progress, and educate patients on medication management and adherence, within an outpatient behavioral health

Qualifications

• Active APRN/PMHNP-BC license in Ohio (or eligible)
• Experience in addiction medicine or behavioral health preferred
• Background check and drug screening required

Responsibilities

• Patient-Centered Evaluation: conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and design personalized treatment plans.
• Progressive Monitoring: track milestones and adjust care plans with clinical leadership.
• Education: counsel about treatment, medication management, and adherence.

The Opportunity & Impact

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at our Dayton clinic, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive psychiatric care and continuity of treatment. You will have the clinical autonomy to manage patient recovery pathways while collaborating closely with an experienced, multidisciplinary clinic team to decrease barriers to care and monitor patient progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient-Centered Care: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, history of present illness (HPI) assessments, and design personalized treatment plans for individuals navigating recovery and mental health disorders.
• Progressive Monitoring: Document and track patient milestones, adjusting care plans seamlessly in collaboration with clinical leadership and clinic directors.
• Empowerment & Education: Counsel patients on their treatment journey, helping them understand their progress, and provide essential health education regarding medication management and compliance.
• Advocacy: Act as a compassionate guide, addressing the physical, emotional, and mental health aspects of substance use and behavioral health disorders to help patients achieve long-term stability and an improved quality of life.

What We Are Looking For

• Licensure: Active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) / Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) license in good standing with the state of Ohio (or eligible to obtain).
• Experience: Prior experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or a strong foundational knowledge of mental health treatment and drug rehabilitation is preferred.
• Background: Ability to successfully pass standard drug screening and background check requirements.
