Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Baton Rouge is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide high-quality nursing care for adults and seniors with anxiety, depression and other mental health issues in an inpatient/outpatient setting.

You will document assessments, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and administer medications per policy. Strong communication, leadership, and critical thinking are essential. Some roles require CPR cert and de-escalation training.

Qualifications

• Current, valid LVN/LPN license in the state of employment.
• Compact licenses acceptable where applicable.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care to a defined patient group.
• Document all findings thoroughly in patient records and communicate with the care team.
• Implement care plans and nursing procedures as prescribed by physicians.
• Perform bedside labs, wound care, and assist with ADLs.
