Oceans Behavioral Hospital Alexandria is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing care for adults and seniors with anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns. The LPN will be part of a multidisciplinary team under RN supervision, following Joint Commission and state regulations.

Formación

• Active Louisiana LPN license is required.
• Psychiatric/mental health care experience preferred.
• Clear documentation in patient records is required.
• Knowledge of safe medication administration processes.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver nursing care to assigned patients under RN direction.
• Document findings thoroughly in patient records.
• Implement care plans with other providers as per the multidisciplinary team.
• Conduct bedside labs and support activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Support patients’ coping and adaptation to illness and stress.
• Provide patient-centered communication and culturally sensitive care.
• Administer medications safely and educate patients about them.
• Transcribe orders accurately and perform chart audits as needed.
• Use nursing knowledge to meet patient and facility needs.
• Precept and educate new staff; perform other duties as assigned.
