Job summary

This role requires a MSW, MA license, BLS and CPI certifications, and at least 2 years of psychiatric social work experience; ED exposure is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• MSW degree required.
• Active Massachusetts Social Work License in-hand at submission time and uploaded with profile.
• Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification.
• Minimum 2+ years of psychiatric social work experience.
• Experience with pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations.
• Prior Emergency Department (ED) clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide therapeutic interventions.
• Provide crisis evaluations and stabilization in the ED context.
• Develop safe, individualized discharge plans coordinating with outpatient providers and families.
• Maintain unit coverage on a small, specialized psychiatric unit with strict attendance.
