Job summary

Norton Healthcare in Louisville, KY is seeking a Social Work professional to respond to ED calls, perform comprehensive mental status evaluations with collateral history, and collaborate with the Psychiatry team to discuss impressions and treatment options.

The role requires certification or licensure such as CSW/LCSW or RN, with a preference for Master’s Degree in Social Work and pediatric experience. Strong interdepartmental communication and disposition planning are important.

Responsibilities

Provides assessment results with the Psychiatry physician responsible for discussing impression and treatment options and apprises emergency department physician, ED staff and other appropriate individuals of any adverse changes in the patient's condition. Evaluates patient for appropriate referrals and disposition.
