Job summary

Join MultiCare Health System in the Pacific Northwest as an outpatient Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. You will provide diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic interventions, supporting diverse clinical teams and education for care providers.

Requirements include WA licensure, PMHNP-BC or equivalent, BLS, and prescriptive authority; experience with severely ill patients and de‑escalation is valued.

Qualifications

• Meets state licensure requirements by time of employment.
• Must have prescriptive authority as APRN in WA.
• PMHNP-BC or PMHNP related active certifications.
• BLS certification from AHA/Red Cross is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides outpatient psychiatric evaluations to clarify treatment recommendations.
• Offers diagnostic/medication management and therapeutic interventions.
• Supports Integrated Mental Health teams and primary care providers.
• Documents within required EHR timeframes and maintains patient health data.
• Demonstrates de‑escalation skills and partners with therapists for caseload management.

PMHNP-BC Certification (Across the Lifespan)
