Brightli in Independence, MO is seeking a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our outpatient psychiatry clinic. You will support physicians and nursing staff, prepare patients for exams, perform essential lab tasks including phlebotomy, and help ensure high-quality patient care in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or Licensed Practical Nurse in applicable state.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy training and previous lab experience preferred.
• One year of experience in a physician office setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care.
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
• Take patient histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
• Administer injections and perform lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Manage appointment scheduling, prior authorizations, and chart management.
• Provide information to patients to help them benefit from clinic services.
• Complete documentation in a timely manner according to company policies and procedures.
