Job summary

Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services is seeking a Psychiatric Care Technician for our Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute. The role involves providing life skills training, psychological support, and personal hygiene assistance to adult patients in an inpatient setting, guided by treatment plans focused on self-reliance.

Qualifications include 18+ years of age, a health sciences/psychology degree, and prior healthcare experience. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Job Duties

Provide basic life skills training, psychological support, and personal hygiene for adult patients in an inpatient mental health facility.
