Job summary

Intermountain Hospital in Boise, ID is seeking a dynamic Psych Tech to join a dedicated team providing safe, compassionate care in a psychiatric and chemical dependency setting. Full-time night shifts (12-hour) offer an opportunity to contribute to treatment goals under RN and Program Manager direction.

You will support planning and implementing services for an assigned program, maintain patient observation and interaction, and model professional behavior in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Skills: CPI/seclusion/restraint training, knowledge of psychiatric care techniques, de-escalation, CPR and code procedures.
  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team and to provide compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and implementing services for an assigned program under RN and Program Manager supervision.
  • Provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.
  • Adhere to safety policies and work within established code procedures and age-group guidelines.

Shift

Full Time nights – 12 hour shifts

Intermountain Hospital, located in Boise, has been providing quality psychiatric and chemical dependency services to Idaho's Treasure Valley and the western US since 1980. This 151-bed facility is located on 10 beautiful acres near the foothills of Idaho's dramatic Sawtooth Mountains. At Intermountain Hospital we are positively changing lives - lives that are affected by mental and emotional stress or chemical dependency. We provide a wide range of services and programs that offer evidence-based treatment proven to have positive outcomes for our patients. Our inpatient and outpatient services offer supportive and compassionate care through specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients. Our mission is to provide safe, effective, and compassionate mental health and substance use treatment.

Our Psych Techs assist with planning and implementing services for an assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Program Manager.

Qualifications

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.
