Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions in Ohio is seeking a registered nurse to support children, adolescents and adults with psychiatric and behavioral health needs. You will participate in assessments, health screenings and vital sign checks, and work with a team of clinicians to deliver individualized care.

Responsibilities include administering injections, monitoring medications, educating clients on pharmaceuticals, and coordinating with Nurse Practitioners and case managers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license required.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel across the service area.
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred.

• Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients.
• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administer injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medications.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Coordinate case management with community services.

• Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administering injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medication.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Case management duties including coordination of community services.
• Assist clients in building skills including emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships.

Requirements for this position include:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
• Preferably has experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
