Job summary

Riverside Health System in Hampton, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care for assigned patients under supervision. The RN will assess clinical and psychosocial needs, develop and evaluate care plans, and ensure safe patient transitions in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities include documenting care, coordinating with families and the care team, delegating tasks, and maintaining compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree requirements and preferred qualifications.
• RN experience: 1 year related RN experience preferred.
• Licensure as RN in Virginia or in a compact state.
• CPR/BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs; develop, implement and evaluate the plan of care.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning to family/caregivers.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to non-professional staff; ensure quality patient care.
• Document accurately per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.

Hampton, VirginiaHiring Range$36.50 - $50.23/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.* We required Labor Pool to work 4 12-hour shifts a scheduled period with at least 2 of the shifts being on the weekend and we required 2 holidays a year. *OverviewWorks under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and the Director and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the total nursing care of assigned patients. The RN utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making to create a care plan for each patient based on physiological, psychosocial and cultural diversity. Responsible for supervising and delegating non-professional personnel working directly with him/her to ensure optimum patient care. Must demonstrate competence in dealing with age related needs of the specific patient populations served in nursing unit. Works under the direction of leadership and a multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive range of services or clinical care associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence established by Riverside Health system and facility goals and strategic plans.What you will doDemonstrates ability to assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs by applying standards of practice as it relates to the specialty or patient population.
