About Us:

NOVA Behavioral Health has been dedicated to building a future and hope for children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral health difficulties. We provide individualized services in structured, therapeutic treatment environments to promote resiliency and individual growth. NOVA’s Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) in Kinston, North Carolina offers secure residential care for children with behavioral health challenges.

About the Position:

• The RN observes consumers for illnesses, unwanted effects of medication, seizure activity, general well-being, etc.
• The RN coordinates consumers’ initial and ongoing assessment activities. Completes quarterly physical assessments on each consumer, referring unusual conditions to the Nursing Supervisor and/or to the Physician as indicated for further evaluation and treatment.
• The RN participates as a member of the treatment team. The RN will exhibit cultural sensitivity and HIPAA awareness to foster relationships and ensure fair, confidential care.

Competitive Pay!!

• Full time is 3 shifts per week. Part time nurses are 1-2 shifts per week.
• For full time nurses, there is a $4,000 sign-on bonus.
• For a part time nurse committing to two shifts a week, there is a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
• For a part time nurse committing to one shift a week, there is a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Shift Available:

• Day Shift (7am-7pm)
• Night Shift (7pm-7am)

Requirements

• The desire to make a difference in the lives of children with intellectual disabilities
• Required: Licensed registered nurse (The ideal candidate must be a graduate of an approved school for Registered Nursing and currently licensed by the NC BON.)
• Preferred: One year of experience in a Residential Treatment Facility
