Job Description
Job Purpose: This position provides care to patients under the supervision of a medical practitioner, following established policies, procedures, and regulations.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare patient charts for upcoming visits, ensuring all necessary forms are completed and integrated into the patient's record.
- Welcome patients, conduct check-in, and escort them to examination rooms.
- Perform delegated medical tasks, including recording vitals, medical history, and visit reasons.
- Conduct visual acuity screenings as part of routine physical exams.
- Administer injections and assist with medical procedures.
- Perform blood draws, collect specimens, conduct urine drug screenings, and communicate results.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms, including stocking supplies and disposing of waste.
- Collaborate with providers to troubleshoot patient issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate or CAAHEP-accredited program required.
- Associate degree in a health-related field or Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- At least six months of healthcare experience preferred.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications, and an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (assistance provided upon offer acceptance).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic record systems such as EMR, billing software, and spreadsheets preferred.
- Bilingual candidates are valued but not required.
- Must be 21 years or older.
Work Schedule:
- Onsite workdays, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
