Job summary

Middlesex Recovery seeks a Psychiatric Family Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric and medical services in outpatient behavioral health programs. The role includes diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing MOUD management for patients in OBOT, IOP, and PHP.

The ideal candidate will perform H&Ps, psychiatric assessments, and medication management in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary outpatient setting focused on recovery and quality of life improvements.

Qualifications

• Current NH NP license in good standing.
• PMHNP certification preferred; FNP with psychiatric and addiction treatment experience will be considered.
• Experience treating mental health and substance use disorders.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, medication management, and addiction treatment skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9 am to 4:30 pm (includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break).

We are seeking a compassionate, confident, and highly skilled Psychiatric Family Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric and medical services for individuals enrolled in our Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).

In this role, you will conduct comprehensive History & Physical (H&P) examinations, perform psychiatric assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide ongoing medication management and clinical care for patients receiving behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct H&Ps and comprehensive psychiatric evaluations.
• Diagnose and treat mental health and substance use disorders.
• Provide ongoing psychiatric and medical follow-up care for patients enrolled in OBOT, IOP, and PHP services.
• Initiate, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications and medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) as clinically appropriate.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams, including therapists, counselors, nursing staff, case managers, and addiction treatment professionals.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Participate in treatment planning and care coordination to support positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner license with the state of NH in good standing.
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification preferred; Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with significant psychiatric and addiction treatment experience will be considered.
• Experience treating individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, medication management, and addiction treatment skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.
