Job summary

Sherman Oaks Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Behavioral Health department to support daily living activities and basic nursing care for non-critical patients. Under RN supervision, you will help maintain a safe environment and collaborate with the care team to deliver compassionate care in a 24/7 facility.

This role requires an active CNA certificate, BLS, knowledge of medical terminology, and at least six months of acute care experience; a BVP

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients in Behavioral Health.
• Provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow unit protocols.
• Collaborate with the care team to support patient comfort and safety.
