Job summary

Labcorp in San Antonio, TX is seeking a PST Specialist to join our team. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for tests, and ensure accurate data entry and patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma; preferred one year of phlebotomy experience and pediatrics exposure. Travel to additional sites may be required and quarterly incentive opportunities apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.

• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Labcorp is seeking a PST Specialist to join our team at 7219 Culebra Rd San Antonio, TX. Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, helping healthcare providers, researchers, and patients make informed decisions that advance care. Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 1 year of pediatrics experience

Additional Job Standards:

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
