Job summary

Labcorp in Raleigh, NC is seeking aFloat Phlebotomist to join as a per diem/casual team member. The role requires venipuncture and capillary blood collections across age groups, data entry, and specimen processing. Travel to multiple sites is expected when needed.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training or 6 months of experience; 1 year experience is preferred. Color blindness test and valid driver’s license are required for eligibility.

• Phlebotomy certification or completed phlebotomy training program or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience (preferred)
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other Duties as assigned

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist float to join our team in Raleigh, NC.

Work Schedule: Per Diem/Casual position and hours will be as needed based upon business needs, not to exceed 19 hours per week

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

Additional Job Standards:

In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation

• At least 21 years of age
