Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist float for Raleigh, NC. This per diem role covers Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with hours as needed, not to exceed 19 per week.

You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, collect various specimens, enter data, process billing, and ensure accurate specimen handling. Strong customer service and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with phlebotomy certification or training.
• 1 year or more phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Ability to pass color vision testing and possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary methods across age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity and alcohol tests.
• Enter patient data accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Perform general administrative duties and travel to other sites as needed.
• Travel to additional sites as required.
• Support other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: This is a Per Diem/Casual position and hours will be as needed on Friday, Saturdays and Sunday based upon business needs, not to exceed 19 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program or 6 months' or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• At least 21 years of age

PST's may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
