Job summary

Maine Veterans’ Homes is seeking a PSS/CNA to join our caring team on a full-time basis. The position offers 40 hours per week with a day shift from 5:45 AM to 2:15 PM and every other weekend.

You will provide direct care, assist with activities of daily living, observe resident condition, and report changes to nursing staff, while fostering a respectful, resident-centered environment. Qualifications

• Current CNA or PSS certification required.
• Long-term care or assisted living experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with residents in English and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and assistance with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Assist residents with comfort, safety, and personal needs
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
• Promote a respectful and welcoming environment
