Senior Lifestyle's Sentry Hill at York Harbor in York, ME seeks a PSS/Care Associate - AL to assist residents with daily living tasks in Assisted Living, promoting dignity and independence. Availability for 2:30PM-11:00PM or 10:30PM-7:00AM shifts; full-time role with a strong mission and HEART values.

Responsibilities include medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escorting residents, documenting care, and providing emotional support; English communication is required; CNA/CHHA

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in senior care.
• English proficiency to perform duties and respond to emergencies.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on state.
• Basic computer skills.
• Compassionate, professional and patient demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort services, and other activities of daily living.
• Follow the resident care schedule as set by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily care logs.
• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.

Do you have HEART? In this role you will be responsible for providing assistance to residents in the Assisted Living Program with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity.

Shift Information

• Available shifts are 2:30PM-11:00PM and 10:30PM-7:00AM.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily log of assistance.
• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.

Qualifications

• You have at least oneyearof experience working in senior care.
• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
• You may need to have a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.
• You have basic computer skills.
• You are compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic and helpful.
• You have the ability to work as a part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
• You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high stress situations.
• You can maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward the residents and your co-workers.
