Job description

Position Overview

Position: Compliance Officer. Department: Public Safety. Reports To: Public Safety Management. FLSA Status: Hourly/Exempt. Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Public Safety Compliance Officer at Legends Global/Caesars Superdome, Smoothie King Center, and Champions Square. Responsibilities include assisting Legends Global Management in Public Safety Operations related to NFL and NBA best practices, coordinating with management on patron complaints and team member performance and attire, and serving as an extension of management regarding patron and team member concerns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Observe Team Members prior to briefing and again prior to going on post to ensure they are appropriately dressed and possess necessary items (e.g., information sheets, flashlights).
• Receive calls from Facility Management staff (including Command Post) and direct information to the appropriate party by following proper radio etiquette and the chain of command.
• Understand all Public Safety Team Member functions, event logistics, and communicate corrective action regarding appearance and communication with the public.
• After each event, communicate with the Public Safety Manager on issues noted on the event log and provide recommendations for improvement; complete a post-event report indicating issues and resolutions.
• Conduct compliance checks of all assigned areas and coordinate with Management to correct issues as they arise.
• Contact Facility Management if an emergency arises and the issue is deemed to require higher‑level handling.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Proven security skills.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate verbally and write reports.
• Ability to communicate with and understand instructions from immediate supervisor and Facility Management.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to maneuver around both facilities.
• Must dress in professional business attire.
• Must have availability as needed for event scheduling.

Physical Demands

The employee must regularly move around the facility, stand for long hours during events, talk and hear, and may work inside or outside the building as required by events.
