Job summary

General Motors is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead PSDS development for advanced vehicle programs. You will guide a team of engineers and technicians through system integration, harness design, and production release with a focus on electrical architecture, DFMEA, and supplier collaboration.

The role requires strong independent judgement, collaboration with customers and suppliers, and a track record of delivering complex projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering field.
• 5+ years in Electrical/Power & Signal Distribution Systems (PSDS) product development.
• Exposure to Electrical/PSDS development and related systems.
• Experience in Automotive Electrical/PSDS Organization (SMT) and Vehicle Integration.
• Proven ability to complete projects on time and to manage complex assignments.

Responsibilities

• Model and promote GM core values and behaviors.
• Create integrated electrical engineering solutions for PSDS content.
• Lead design release execution for PSDS electrical content including wiring harnesses and connectors.
• Coordinate electrical architecture and interfaces with downstream teams and suppliers.
• Mentor NX Designers in system development, packaging, and integration.
• Review requirements and provide feedback to ensure clarity and alignment with strategy.
• Drive issue resolution and support opportunities to improve processes and reduce cost.
