Job summary

Labcorp in Hammonton, NJ is hiring a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator to oversee Patient Service Centers. You will perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, manage patient flow, and coordinate with PSC staff and laboratory personnel to ensure efficient operations.

The role requires phlebotomy duties, strong customer service. Weekend/overtime flexibility may be required; travel to other sites is possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, 1 year or more phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency preferred.
• Must have strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report performance, compliance, or staffing issues to supervisors.
• Manage patient flow, wait times, and information logs; monitor productivity reports.
• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, tests, etc.; data entry of patient information.
• Process billing information and collect payments; prepare specimens for testing.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.

Phlebotomy- Site Coordinator

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 7:00am-330pm, additional days and hours may be required.

Job Responsibilities

• Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors
• Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
• Monitor monthly productivity reports and report any deviations as necessary
• Address any customer service related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
• Promote team work, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers
• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent 1 year or more of experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years experience as a leader

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• In depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

This position will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of activities of Patient Service Centers within an assigned area. The Phlebotomy Site Coordinator will work closely with the PSC staff, management, as well as the laboratory staff and clients to ensure optimal operation of the Patient Service Center. The position will also perform phlebotomy and specimen processing procedures at LabCorp Patient Service Centers under minimal supervision.

**Pay Range: $18-$26.00 All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics**
