As a highly visible and customer-facing position, you will work with an exceptional Professional Services organization and the wider Customer Success team, including Professional Services Engineers, Project Managers, and Solution Architects. You will play a critical role in the success of Professional Services engagements as we expand our world-class consulting organization, which has a proven track record of working with clients from various industries worldwide. The Professional Services Technical Architect reports to the Senior Manager, Professional Services Technical Architects.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the application design, development, and support of GitLab-related Professional Services projects.
2. Demonstrate progressive leadership in the full lifecycle of the software development environment.
3. Responsible for detailed design of GitLab-related projects from inception through production support.
4. Responsible for hands-on implementation and delivery of Professional Services engagements.
5. Ensure that deliverables meet customer expectations, with proper testing and performance monitoring in collaboration with the customer.
6. Coordinate and oversee implementation activities for internal and partner consultants, developers, and customer points of contact on large-scale enterprise projects.
7. Mentor PS and partner consultants, providing guidance on ‘Best Practices,’ communication, and implementation strategies.
8. Provide mentorship and develop collateral such as documentation, delivery kits, and training materials.
9. Liaise with and support other functional groups within GitLab, including training, development, support, product, and engineering.
10. Review and contribute to PS training materials and presentations.
11. Develop case studies, presentations, design documentation, best-practice methodologies, and internal processes.
12. Support PS Engagement Managers during scoping and creation of customer SOWs.
13. Lead technical discovery sessions with customers, partners, and GitLab PSEs to understand their business goals and technical requirements.
14. Work closely with the customer project team to articulate work requirements accurately.
15. Stay updated on new features and fixes in GitLab product releases and share key information with the team.
16. Provide technical guidance and advice on a broad spectrum of technologies related to GitLab and its environments.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience delivering consulting services such as SCM migration, Cloud Architecture, Developer, or CI/CD services.

• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and industry trends.
