Join the dynamic and innovative team at the University of Utah College of Nursing as an Operations Manager for a new innovative program within Dr. Kathi Mooney’s Research Team. This position is based in Salt Lake City, UT at the University of Utah College of Nursing Emma Eccles Jones Nursing Research Center (EEJNRC). This exciting role involves supporting groundbreaking research in oncology patient symptom management and contributing to the transformative Rural Huntsman at Home project.
Under minimal supervision, this position will be responsible for the Mooney Research Group’s involvement with the Rural Huntsman @ Home Program operations (pertaining to administrative, personnel, and organizational functions). Provides strategic support and leadership in planning, developing, and implementing new programs to advance the mission and goals of the Rural H@H program under Dr. Mooney’s leadership. Assist in evaluating current and proposed systems and procedures. Recommends changes when necessary and assist in implementation of new processes.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related area of assignment or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Four years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of assigned department’s area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Master’s Degree Preferred. Prefer candidate with experience in oncology and remote patient monitoring research. Experience with successful team building programs.
