The Extended Play Team is the faculty support group that manages all after school programming and facilitates high-quality play and robust learning engagement in the afternoons for ages PK2 (Age 2) through G5 (Grade 5).
The After School Extended Play Teacher is responsible for assisting with indoor and outdoor projects, homework help, games, play, and general safety/supervision of Preschool/Lower School students between the hours of 2:30-6:00 pm daily. Professional learning and team meetings are a routine part of the role. Work occurs on Mount Vernon’s Lower Campus (Preschool, Lower School, and various outdoor spaces) during the 10-month school year, August-May.
