Sensitive Position No Job Description The Loudoun Provost serves as the chief administrative officer of the Loudoun Campus, reports directly to the President, and serves as a member of the Administrative Council. The Provost provides strategic leadership and oversight for campus operations, programs and services, enrollment, student success, community engagement, resource stewardship, and campus planning. As a member of the Administrative Council, the Provost contributes to the development and implementation of collegewide policies, strategic priorities, and institutional initiatives while representing the interests and needs of the Loudoun Campus community.
The Loudoun Provost serves as the primary steward of the Loudoun Campus community and is responsible for fostering an environment in which students and employees can thrive. The Provost cultivates a welcoming, inclusive, and high-performing campus culture that supports student success, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. The Provost builds and sustains partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, school divisions, elected officials, and other stakeholders to advance the mission of the College and support the educational and workforce needs of the region. The Provost directly supervises campus-based deans, directors, and other assigned personnel and is responsible for advancing the strategic goals and priorities of Northern Virginia Community College and the Virginia Community College System.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
