LaGuardia Community College, part of the City University of New York, seeks a forward-thinking Provost to lead academic affairs and foster student success in New York City.

The Provost will supervise ten academic departments, advance the 2030 strategic plan, and ensure accreditation and shared governance across the college.

This executive position offers a salary of $225,000 to $250,000, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to strengthen programs, transfer pathways, and workforce education.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required; eight years in related roles.
• Experience in academic administration, preferably in a community college.
• Ability to attract, support, and retain diverse faculty and staff.
• Strong leadership, communication, and data-driven decision making.
• Experience with shared governance and accreditation.

Responsabilidades

• Lead faculty and academic personnel matters per CUNY policy.
• Develop and evaluate an academic plan aligned to LaGuardia’s 2030 plan.
• Encourage innovative teaching across modalities and use of tech and AI.
• Oversee program development, review, and accreditation.
• Identify opportunities for new degrees, certificates, credentials, and programs.
• Strengthen Liberal Arts programs and transfer pathways.
• Ensure accreditation and policy compliance.
• Support faculty scholarship and external funding.
• Manage resources and budgets strategically.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure a welcoming student experience.
• Represent the President and engage with external stakeholders.
