Job summary

The University of New England is seeking a collaborative, visionary Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs to lead its two Maine campuses and six colleges. The Provost reports to the President and oversees all aspects of the university’s academic mission, with responsibilities spanning academic leadership, budgeting, accreditation, and governance across Portland and Biddeford campuses.

• Must hold a terminal degree and be eligible for Full Professor.
• Proven record in academic administration and leadership.

• Experience with curriculum design and accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as chief academic officer and provide leadership for instructional and research programs.
• Oversee the University’s academic mission and multi-campus operations.
• Develop and implement UNE’s Strategic Plan and academic operating budget.
• Foster collaboration across colleges, centers, and institutes to advance academic excellence.
• Collaborate with the President and other senior leaders on fundraising and external partnerships.
